Hello. Aight. Blogging time!!
This post will be about the AKE (Annual Kayaking Expedition). This lead to the reason for my sunburnt. Uneven colour tone on my body. LOL.
-First day-
Reporting for the cadets. Admin take attendance. Logisitic settle the paddles, lifejackets and kayaks. Cadets belongings taken and kept in the specific bag for each school and placed at the OPS room. Coxwain mostly do nothing. So is boat crew. Cadets take out their wet attire that they need and stuff the rest of their bag in another big thrash bag. Cadet brought to the Sembawang Camp MPH and that's where they sleep for the night. And most of the CLT's and CDO's didn't sleep. LOL. We chat and chat and chat after the night briefing. Even though some of the coxwain have to kayak in the morning. Mine is AFTERNOON SHIFT!
-Second day-
All wake at 6am. Brush teeth. Fall in. Fast walk to the Sembawang Yatch Club. Have their breakfast. I cant remember what it is. But it taste awful i think. 6 morning-shift coxwain launch off first to mark their positions, (Bow, starboard front, starboard back, port front, port back, stern). While the land coxwain lead the cadets to launch 5 by 5. Form raft and off they go heading to Pasir Ris Park from Sembawang at 6.30am. After once they reached around 12pm, they had lunch. Time for the next shift of coxwain to kayak. I'm one of them. It was blazing hot. But it was till we reached changi finger rocks. The weather change. The tides and waves change and was pushing us towards the rocks. And my kayak was full loaded with water. Haha. That the boat thought i was sitting on the water. Once reached changi, they beached up, had dinner and clean up there. Soon after, lights out at 10.

Thunderstorm at changi. Look at the sky. The waves actually crashed again one another.
-Third Day-
Wakey at 6. Breakfast and launch. Heading back to Pasir Ris. I took the afternoon shift again. HAHA. Morning are meant to slack and sleep. For the land coxwain whose taking the afternoon shift, took a bus to Pasir Ris Park. Once they reached, we had lunch and afternoon coxwain took the lead off the Sembawang Yatch Club. We reached around 6pm. Had dinner and washed up. Head to Sembawang Camp to sleep over. It was totally shag for everyone. Esp the cadets. But overall, they had fun and sunburnts. (:
-Fourth Day (Last Day)-
Last day of kayaking.From Sembawang Yatch Club to the Causeway to Sembawang Park and finished off at Yatch Club again. After all of this, the kayaks and life-jackets kept at the storeroom. Time for cadets badge presentation. Thos who complete all get gold AKE badge. Those who kayak half-way and reported sick, get silver. It was given by the NCC Commandant, LTC Stuart Khoo. After all this, GO HOME TIME!!! Everything ended around 4pm.
Yea. Long post. But i hope you people get the rough idea how it was.
